How do I book a service provider on Handy Banjo?

You can book a service provider with the Handy Banjo Platform 3 ways.

  1. Post a Request in the Marketplace- Service Providers will be able to see your requests and make offers on it through our bidding system.
  2. Search and reach out directly to a Service Provider- Both the you and service provider can negotiate a deal directly.
  3. Post Request to Admin to handle your request- This feature allows you to contact the admin directly and request for services. The Admin takes the load off of your shoulders and provides you with the best provider to handle your request.

How are service providers vetted?

All our Service providers go through a rigorous vetting process which includes:

  1. We review their portfolio work
  2. We require the completion of a background check
  3. We verify license and insurance information
  4. We check their reputation via trusted online sources

What do I need to set up an account as a customer?

Simply follow through on the registration as a customer on our home page.

What kind of requests can I post on Handy Banjo?

You can request for In-Person Services on Handy Banjo. From home improvement services to residential and commercial cleaning to vehicle repairs and so much more.  Currently, we have service providers that are in these categories: Cleaners, Handymen, General Contractors, Mechanics and Licensed Tradesmen.

Do you have a payment plan option?

We have a plan called the “Milestone Payment Plan.” For requests of $600+, the service provider will include at least one additional milestone (50% work completed). Once the milestone is completed, you check the work and confirm your satisfaction with the work performed. You are then prompted to make the next payment to keep the job going.

Can Handy Banjo match a customer to a Service Provider? How does this work?

YES, absolutely! We will use the below variables to match providers to your request:

-Closest proximity to your address

-Availability to complete your project

-Extremely high customer satisfaction

-Service experience in your neighborhood

-Skills matching the category you picked

-A great record of completing jobs

Your list of available service providers are subject to change often due to variables such as availability, response time, and customer satisfaction rating being continuously updated.

What if a service provider wants to come and see your request in person to give an accurate bid?

A standard fee of $19.99 allows our service provider to come out in person to give you an exact number for the cost of the request. If you choose to work with our provider, the $19.99 will be discounted from the number the service provider gives you. If not, you can shop around with the number that was given.

Does Handy Banjo charge a platform fee?

Yes. We only charge a small fee of 3% on each transaction you run through us. This fee covers the processing fee by the financial transaction service we use.

What happens if you connect with a service provider on Handy Banjo and complete the financial transaction off the platform?

Our quality control team monitors platform activities. If we find that a customer and service provider have completed a transaction off the platform, both the customer and service provider’s account will be suspended indefinitely. We do this to maintain the integrity of the Handy Banjo Ecosystem. **Please note that in order for the Handy Banjo Guarantee to be in effect for your job, all financial transactions need to take place in the Handy Banjo platform.**
