How do I qualify to be a Handy Banjo Pro?
You qualify to be a Handy Banjo Pro by meeting the following requirements:
-Must be an Independent Worker or Business
-Carry necessary Insurance for Business. Minimally, maintain an active General Liability Insurance Policy.
-Must Have Portfolio of previous work
-Must be able to Pass Background Check
What fees are associated with Service Providers?
15%- On Earnings between $0-$2500*
10%- On Earnings between $2500-$25,000**
5%- On Earnings Over $25,000***
*A Service provider must earn $2500.01 and complete 5 separate jobs on the platform to be eligible for transaction fee reduction to 10%
**A Service provider must earn $25,000.01 and complete 10 separate jobs on the platform to be eligible for transaction fee reduction to 5%
***A Service provider will stay at 5% for 90 days and will be eligible for a 90-day extension if the provider earns $25K or more during the initial 90 days term. If not, transaction fee resets to 15% but without job completion requirements
How long does it take for the money to appear in my bank account after the customer confirmed their satisfaction with the work performed?
The first transaction takes 7 business days. 2-3 business days after that.
How does a financial transaction work?
When a customer accepts a bid or directly wants to work with you, they will be prompted to make a payment. The funds are transferred to escrow. When you finish a milestone, and the customer confirms their satisfaction with the work performed, the funds are released and dispersed into your account.
How does the milestone payment plan work?
For requests of $600+, you will be prompted to include at least one additional milestone (50% work completed). Once you complete it and the customer confirms their satisfaction with the work performed, the customer will be prompted to pay for the next milestone.
What happens if you connect with a customer on Handy Banjo and complete the financial transaction off the platform?
Our quality control team monitors platform activities. If we find that a customer and service provider have completed a transaction off the platform, both the customer and service provider’s account will be suspended indefinitely. We do this to maintain the integrity of the Handy Banjo Ecosystem.
